Search & filters
Global search, the advanced filter builder, and filters you save and share.
Global search
The search box in the top bar searches contacts. It matches on:
- Name, email and phone — including partial words and close spellings.
- Phone digits — formatting is ignored, so
555 010 9999finds+15550109999. - Every custom field value.
Open the box with nothing typed and it shows the last ten contacts you viewed.
Advanced filters
Contacts, opportunities and offerings each have a filter panel. Tick a field, choose an operator, and enter a value; combine as many as you need. Operators depend on the field type:
| Field type | Operators |
|---|---|
| Text, email, link | contains, starts with, ends with, is, is not, present, blank |
| Number, money | equals, not equals, greater/less than or equal, present, blank |
| Date | on, before, after, present, blank — in your own time zone |
| Single select, related record | is, is not — as a dropdown of real records |
| Multi select | contains any, contains all, does not contain |
| Boolean | is true, is false |
Related fields — contact, offering, stage, owner — render as dropdowns of the actual records rather than asking for an identifier. Money fields are treated as currency.
Filters you cannot see, you cannot use: fields restricted above your role are absent from the builder and rejected if requested directly.
Saved filters
Once a filter is set up you can save it under a name.
- Private by default — only you see it.
- Shared with one toggle, making it available to the whole account.
- Save as new to branch an existing filter without overwriting it.
- Click a saved filter to apply it; click it again to clear it.
You can always manage your own filters. Filters shared with the team can be renamed or removed by any member, since they belong to everyone. A filter still private to somebody else stays invisible to you.
If a saved filter refers to a field that has since been deleted or restricted, the missing parts are skipped and you are told, rather than the filter failing.
Lists
Every list supports sortable column headers, a select-all checkbox, and a page-size selector. Filters are reflected in the URL, so a filtered list can be bookmarked or shared with a colleague.
